Hand-crafted here in the USA of durable and beautiful cotton duck fabric bleached in environmentally friendly hydrogen peroxide, with rustproof nickel plated brass grommets or natural unbleached.  The curtain will stop water from spraying outside your shower without a plastic liner. This keeps unnatural plastics out of our landfills. The shower curtain will get wet, but will not leak through. The cotton shower curtain will rapidly air dry which helps prevents mold growth associated with plastic liners.

The curtain's natural cotton duck fabric is not organically grown but is processed without chlorine bleach, dyes and finishes normally used in the industry. We use 7 oz cotton duck because it is lighter weight, allowing it to dry more quickly. This also leaves it slightly transparent.

The cotton shower curtain resists mildew and mold by drying quickly and not trapping moisture against the inside of the tub like plastic liners do. After showering simply spread the curtain out so air can dry it, try not to leave it gathered at one end of the tub.

This curtain does not have the annoying property of billowing out towards the shower spray like lightweight plastic liners do.

Care Instructions:

When washing the shower curtain, set washing machine to gentle and cold and hang to dry to minimize shrinkage.  If you are intentionally shrinking the shower curtain, start washing with cold water, and hang to dry.  The hotter the water, the more it will shrink.  Drying in a machine is not recommended, as this could lead to excess shrinkage.  If you are going to use a dryer, set it on low heat and leave in for a very short period of time before hang drying it.

Note: These curtains are NOT guaranteed against mildew, with heavy use the curtain can stay wet and mildew like any other surface, at the first sign of mildew the curtain needs to be washed and dried thoroughly to prevent staining.

The hemp shower curtain will rapidly air dry which helps prevents mold growth associated with plastic liners.

Our hemp fabric is made from Romanian grown hemp which is grown without pesticides and chemical fertilizers. The hemp plants use less water than cotton plants and give a greater fiber yield per acre. The entire hemp plant can be used by people and industry. Other practical uses are: rope/cord, fabric, fiber, paper, medicine, cosmetics, paint, biomass fuel, oil, and food.
The growing, processing, and weaving of this hemp fabric provides needed employment to hundreds if not thousands of people in this formerly deprived country.

Care Instructions:

Our hemp shower curtain has a natural resistance to mildew and bacteria, and can be machine washed to clean any grime buildup. After machine washing simply hang the curtain up to dry, any wrinkles will disappear during showering. You may find it necessary to use a natural mildew preventative from time to time depending upon climate and your shower's natural ventilation.
